I want to help you feel calm, confident, and able to cope with life's challenges. Let's build a therapy space that has room for you to grow.

I am here to listen deeply and support you. My approach is largely Rogerian and relational and my top priority is that you feel heard and not judged. I use tools for processing such as mindfulness, somatic experiencing, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy. My framework for client conceptualization is relational-cultural and feminist to understand power dynamics in relationships and systems i.e. patriarchy, white supremacy, and capitalism. Sometimes clients benefit from an open space to process and other times need specific tools to address immediate concerns. We will figure out what you need from each session, establish goals for therapy, and stay in communication about what is working and not working. We will curate the therapeutic container together.

I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NMSU and I have been in practice as an outpatient therapist for three years. Prior to outpatient, I worked as a group therapist in hospitals and as a crisis responder. I have participated in trainings for working with queer and trans people and am able to facilitate WPATH-compliant assessments and letter writing for gender-affirming surgery. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for those struggling with PTSD and needing a direct method to address traumatic stress.

If you're excited to talk about working together, please reach out for a consultation. I would be happy to meet you! :)

My Philosophy

When someone is telling you about a problem they are having, there is always a part of you that just wants to “fix it”. Therapy is the opposite. There is no problem that I can simply fix for a client (I wish!!). Therapy is slowing down, taking a breath, and listening deeply. If you don’t know how to do this we will practice together. This leads to witnessing how complex and human you are. I am not “the expert in the room” but being a person in the room with you. My orientation is to empathize, be non-judgmental, and have unconditional positive regard for you.
